it's a tale as old as time can tell
time to take it back
start with Emmet Till
and don't stop if you get bored
you're the only one who can afford
all the blood
when it ain't yours
but it's plain to see when it's written on the floor
that it's all ruby red
it's all ruby red
no matter who it came from
poverty - it ain't no choice
with lines as red as the devil's voice
now what do you expect
when you keep them in the dirt
when you lock them up and you make them hurt
now another innocent life
it has been destroyed
we can't get him back: George Perry Floyd
now say his name
it matters where he came from
you see, the capitalists - they don't want us to fight
the capitalists - they don't care what's wrong from right
the capitalists - they just want to maintain control
with all the money they hold
Soulful guitar interplay form the heart of this lovely Americana collaboration from Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 2, 2018
Fuzzy Austin trio follow up their first album in 20 years, released in Spring 2015, with a stomping new EP of noisy rock & roll. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 26, 2016
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
